Flavors of the week: Skinny Cow and $5 tanks

Each week, we spotlight a favorite ice cream and a super-sweet deal. This week (June 28-July 4):

The ice cream: In the summer (who am I kidding? Any time of year…) I just need ice cream after dinner. It’s seriously a problem. But I don’t feel quite as guilty when I’m eating a Skinny Cow Vanilla with Caramel cone. At 150 calories, it tastes delicious and is surprisingly satisfying.

The bargain: In an organizing/cleaning fit the other day, I realized my summer tanks were looking a bit worn — OK, really sad and shabby — so I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and chucked ‘em in the trash. (Can you tell I hate throwing clothes away?) Thankfully, I came across this great deal from Old Navy just a few hours later. Through July 2, women’s stretch tanks are just $5 (normally $10.50). They come in a rainbow of hues, so at that price, you can pick up several. I discovered the deal by clicking the “Super Weekly Steals” button at the far right-hand side of the categories bar on oldnavy.com. Click around the page for coupons — I found a 15 percent off entire purchase coupon. You can also share the coupon with a friend via Facebook. I’ll be checking back for more deals soon.
