A quick video look at the first of three scheduled Riverfront Park Fashion Series events.
There was a mini movement going on at Thursday night’s Riverfront Park Fashion Series.
It seemed nearly every woman in the jam-packed crowd was wearing a super-short dress. And we’re not talking your basic above-the-knee summer style, here. This was micro-mini, better get those legs toned and slathered in self-tanner kind of short. The kind of short where there was no way those lovely ladies were taking advantage of the mini filet mignon sandwiches, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus or salmon/cucumber crudites offered by Capital Grille. And they weren’t even thinking about touching the Little Man Ice Cream. The wine, on the other hand….
The first of a three-part series, the actual runway show featured tres chic looks from Catherine Malandrino. It was part sophisticated French girl, part Cha Cha DiGregorio, and I loved it. Black paired with jewel tone prints, amazing ruffles and chain details met high-waisted cigarette pants, empire dresses and gold motorcycle jackets.
Next up in the fashion series is looks from Betsey Johnson and food from Zengo on July 16, followed by a Robert Rodriguez show and food from Tamayo on Aug. 20. Better get those mini dresses ready.
