A raccoon at the John Varvatos SoHo, N.Y. store. / By Cheryl Tan
OK, so it’s not really breaking — it happened Saturday. But when my old fashion editor pal Cheryl Tan (Wall Street Journal, InStyle, Baltimore Sun) sent me this photo she snapped with her iPhone while shopping at the John Varvatos sale in SoHo, New York, I knew I had to post it.
“It was climbing all over the shelf, trying to reach up to grab a light fixture,” Cheryl tells me. ”Rather cute … but then it became terrified and curled up into a ball as a crowd began to gather.”
“For what it’s worth, the John Varvatos sale that lured us in was actually pretty good — up to 70 percent off!” she says. “We did some damage, even with the raccoon distraction.”
Here’s the Gawker post.
Check out A Tiger in the Kitchen, Cheryl’s blog, here. We can’t wait to read her upcoming book.
