What women in Denver are wearing now
We ask local scenesters to photograph and tell us about their looks for a week.
To kick off this new feature, we went straight to Paulina Szafranski, vice president of marketing for Lotus Concepts. Often called the Lodo club queen (she works with hot nightspots Suite Two Hundred, The Marquis, Monarck, 24k and 5 Degrees), Szafranski loves fashion, has an eye for putting high and low items together and warned us that some days mean multiple outfit changes. That’s our kind of girl. Here’s a look at a recent week in her fashion life.

THE DETAILS:
Monday, June 22: Zara black pencil skirt and H&M sweater. “I bought these in Poland,” she says. “I love H&M. They have such great little inexpensive basics.”
Tuesday, June 23: Giorgio Armani pale pink skirt and black cap-sleeve T-shirt. “I got that cute shirt at Saks,” she says. “It’s a nylon blend and fits really nicely. I got one in every color for the summer.”
Wednesday, June 24:Diane von Furstenberg teal dress, Bebe belt, BCBG Girls sandals, Hermes handbag. “The dress is from Saks from a couple seasons back,” she says. “I got the shoes at DSW and the bag is my mom’s. She loaned it to me for a week.”
Thursday, June 25: Zara black shift dress, white Tory Burch cardigan, BCBG Girls sandals. “I just bought the Tory Burch sweater, and I think I’ve worn it every day since I got it,” she says. “It’s the best little cardigan ever. It’s perfect for the office when the air conditioning gets a little chilly.”
Friday, June 26: Pink day dress, Tory Burch cardigan, leopard-print sandals. “The dress is from Garbarini. It’s washable with pockets in front,” she says of the outfit she wore with friends in front of Folsom Field in Boulder. “The shoes are an Italian brand I bought in Vegas. Everyone says they look like Dr. Scholl’s. They’re so comfy, but the leopard gives them a little bit of flare.”
Saturday, June 27: Michael Kors bikini, Dior sunglasses and (on swing) black cover-up and Tory Burch cardigan. “We were at brunch at a friend’s house,” she says, shown with friend Taylor Kennedy. “That’s a cover-up I threw on from Saks and that same cardigan again!”
Sunday, June 28:BCBG green print dress and (later) Brown Palace robe. “We did not plan on both wearing green,” she says of her outfit and friend Sarah Dodd’s, when the two met for brunch at Ellyngton’s at the Brown Palace Hotel. After brunch, they changed into robes for spa appointments at the hotel’s spa. “It was the first time I tried the 80-minute stone massage,” she says. “It was unreal. I’m swearing by it now.”
Monday, June 29:Prada shorts, Romeo + Juliet blouse, Tory Burch cardigan. We couldn’t resist throwing in a bonus day. “The shorts are from a few seasons ago and the blouse is from Saks,” Szafranski says. “That line has the best ruffled halter that zips in the back.”
