Denver fashion designer shows new Incroyables line
Denver designer Melissa May unveiled her newest line of pretty, feminine dresses Aug. 15 at a fashion show at The Fabric Lab, 3105 E. Colfax.
We joined the crowd that gathered inside the small boutique and outside on the sidewalk to see May’s latest Incroyables collection. May “draws inspiration from the Incroyables — a French Revolution-era subculture that dressed in wildly eccentric clothing as a way to celebrate individual freedom and to mock popular culture,” says her Web site. ”Taking this tongue-in-cheek view of popular culture, Melissa creates unique, one-of-a-kind handmade garments that fuse together the worlds of elegant high fashion with rock ‘n’ roll.”
Here’s a peek at some of the looks shown.
