Flavors of the week – bacon ice cream (!) & shoes, shoes, shoes!

The ice cream:

OK, I’m all for fun, new flavors, but this story from Women’s Day, is kinda gag-worthy. Don’t get me wrong — bacon makes just about everything better — but I don’t like it in my chocolate, and I certainly don’t think it belongs with ice cream. Listen to these “innovative” flavors:

Candied Bacon. Shudder. Curry Carrot. Even Bugs Bunny would turn his nose up at it. Bourbon and Corn Flake. Ice cream for breakfast, good. But, this? No. Caviar. Eew. Bleu Cheese and Carmelized Shallot. That’s just wrong. Sweet Corn. I don’t care how good Olathe corn is — keep it away from dessert. Soy Sauce Sorbet. For real?

The bargain: I just came across this fab shoe site, footcandy.com, and they’ve got some awesome shoe deals going on now.  In my shoe dreams, I’m wearing L.A.M.B.‘s woven “Tammy” zippered stacked heels ($185 — was $370); Tory Burch’s pink and camel “Cluny” pumps ($197.50 — was $395); and Pura Lopez’s satin peep-toe pump with a gorgeous rose detail ($187.50 — was $375). Hey, a girl can dream, right?!
