Flavors of the week – sugar free fudgsicles & Spiegel sale

The ice cream: If you’ve been following my boot camp diary, you know I’m trying to watch what I eat. I’m definitely not always successful, but when I really, really need something sweet (and it’s always right after the kids are put to bed), I’ve been reaching for fudgsicles. Try the sugar free variety — sweetened with Splenda. They’re 98 percent fat free and have just 35 calories. You can easily eat two. And, no, it’s not the same as diving into a bowl of full-fat chocolate ice cream, but it’ll help postpone those cravings for at least another day. Get the Healthy Bunch pack — with creamsicles (20 calories), fudgsicles and popsicles (10 calories!).

The bargain: For some reason, I often forget about Spiegel, but they do have some pretty sweet finds. Check out their end-of-season sale, where prices are maked up to 80 percent off.
