Fashion Week – Pantone lists top 10 colors for spring

Want a sneak peek at what the designers will be showing this week in New York? The Pantone Fashion Color Report for spring 2010 was released today, and it looks like designers are declaring sunny optimism in their upcoming collections.

Turquoise, red, yellow, orange and violet are the shades of the season. Here’s Pantone’s 10 top shades for spring — I’m particularly fond of Pink Champagne. Drink it all in!

  • Turquoise — Pantone 15-5519 (vibrant blue-green)
  • Tomato Purée — Pantone 18-1661 (classic red)
  • Fusion Coral — Pantone 16-1543 (warm orange)
  • Violet — Pantone 16-3320 (light purplish hue)
  • Tuscany — Pantone 16-1219 (warm beige)
  • Aurora — Pantone 12-0642 (slightly greenish yellow)
  • Amparo Blue — Pantone 18-3945 (a warmer navy)
  • Pink Champagne — Pantone 12-1107 (delicate pale neutral)
  • Dried Herb — Pantone 17-0627 (green neutral)
    * Eucalyptus — Pantone 15-0513 (practical gray)
