New York – Showing a little – or a lot – of shoulder is shaping up as a big trend for spring 2010, and Tadashi Shoji’s colletion was no exception.
Note to self: Hire trainer to sculpt shoulders before spring.
Asymmetrical dresses and blouses dared to bare, so best be toning those delts, ladies.
Note to self: But don’t freak if shoulders aren’t perfect.
Building on fall’s sculpted shoulder look, big poufy sleeves will still be – well – big for spring.
Tadashi’s take was sometimes billowy (in a lovely gray/blue shade done in silk crepe) or all puffed up (a navy silk georgette top).
Note to self: Save money for extra dry cleaning bills.
The (non) color all over the runway: white. Or variations on white – “champagne,” “pearl,” “ivory,” “eggshell.” Don’t let the kids near me ’til I change into sweats clothes. Classic. Pretty. Dainty.
