Life is clearly a beach for Brazilian designer Carlos Miele, and, oh, yes, are we dying to visit him there.

Vibrant, tropical colors of coral, pink, purple and turquoise met sandy shades of beige in his spring 2010 collection.

Miele was even influenced by dreadlocks — naming various silk braided vests after the Rasta hairdo.

Chiffon mini dresses, and flowing silk chiffon gowns were perfect for an event at the beach. While a snake-print silk chiffon shirt paired with a black silk embroidered-back vest and a slouchy mini skirt with pockets would be a go-to evening look after a day in the surf and sun.

Miele joined other designers in keeping with fall’s asymmetrical trend, with one-shouldered mini dresses making it into the mix. Other standouts were his watercolor-like prints (back to the beach theme) and a beige silk chiffon gown with gold embroidery — some California girl should snap that up for next week’s Emmys.

Now, pass me a Mojito, please.
