Find the Fashion's Night Out T-shirt Sept. 10, at Neiman Marcus ($30).
Hire the babysitter. Call all your friends. It’s time for Fashion’s Night Out.
That’s right. Doing a little shopping — even the window variety is find — is a must Thursday (Sept. 10), as stores worldwide will host stylish events and happenings.
Fashion’s Night Out comes to us via Vogue, who has partnered with NYC & Company, the City of New York and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to get folks to shop til they drop in the name of boosting the economy and the fashion industry.
“To put it bluntly, if people don’t shop, people lose their jobs,” designer Vera Wang said at a press conference announcing the event.
Held the first evening of New York Fashion Week, we’ll be celebrating the festivities in Denver at Neiman Marcus in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, from 6-9 p.m.
Check out a model audition from 6-7 p.m., hosted by Maximum Talent(men and women must be at least 18 years old and 5’9″ or taller). Then preview a Neiman Marcus fall fashion show at 7 p.m. And, the whole time, come visit Denveralamode to play the Monopoly-like board game “Fashion Rules” with us (and register to win the game while you’re there).
You’ll also be able to buy the chic Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt ($30), with 40 percent of proceeds benefiting the September 11 Memorial and Museum.
Some shopping ideas while you’re there:
