Denver’s best-known hairdresser boasts an impressive resume: A regular on the main stages at professional beauty industry events including the International Beauty Show in New York and the International Salon and Spa Expo in Los Angeles, Charile Price has been nominated for International Stylist of the Year five times by the Canadian Mirror Awards (2002, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008) and was named International Stylist of the Year in 2007.
He has been nominated for five NAHA awards including Master Stylist of the Year in 2007 and was named North American Hairstylist of the Year in 2002. His innovative hair designs have been featured in numerous magazines — both trade and consumer — and he has worked backstage at countless fashion shows, including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs and Carolina Herrera in New York, and Prada, miu miu and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan. He was the lead stylist in creating runway hair looks for designers Jeremy Scott, Peter Som, Catherine Malandrino, Matthew Williamson and Imitation of Christ.
Oh, and he was runner-up on the second season of the Bravo reality hair dresser competition Shear Genius (for the record, he was robbed).
We sat down with Price, co-owner of Click Salon in Cherry Creek North, to find out what’s going on with him now.
