Please excuse our shoddy camera work, but these styles from Denver designers and hair by local salons still shine through.
We attended the Red Ball 2009 last weekend, a benefit for Colorado AIDS Project, at the Sugar Cube building in LoDo. The theme was “A Night of Frost & Fire” and eight area salons teamed with eight designers to present a fun runway show, co-emceed by Kirk Montgomery of 9-News and FashionDenver’s Brandi Shigley.
The designers included: Francis Roces of Kimono Dragons, Jackie Qualtieri of Madame Q Designs, Janet White of JM Designs, Kotomi Yoshida of Studio Yoshida, Maggie Burns of Marie-Margot, Mona Lucero of Mona Lucero Design, Rachel Marie Hurst of Rae Marie and Sara Mesmer of Marianne & Ginger.
Salons participating: Click Salon, Copperfalls Salon, El Salon, Eminently Hair, Matthew Morris Salon, Oxford Club Spa & Salon, Rebelle Salon and Twig Salon.
Accessories were provided by Dana van Daele of Grey Sunshine Handbags, Julie Nolan or Joyas Jewelry and Sahar Parirokh of Freedom Star Jewelry.
