The designer collaborations just keep rolling for Target. After recent collections from Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui and Rodarte, we can look forward to affordable designs from Jean Paul Gaultier on March 7 (launching in just 250 Target stores) and Zac Posen on April 25.
Now, we are suckers for pretty much every designer collection at Tar-zhay, but we’re always disappointed. They look so amazing in the print ads and on TV, but when we see them in person, most pieces just look like cheap crap. We usually manage to find a piece a two — we’ve been living in Rodarte’s gray cardi lately — but we really wish these lines could up the quality just a bit.
Here’s hoping JPG and Zac Posen change our attitude.
Fashionista.com reports that the Posen collection is mostly dresses (think sleeveless floral mini with a massive side bow ($74), a purple polka-dot frock with thick seams ($39) and a long printed gown ($69) ).
The site reports we’ll get gold lame and tie-dye swimsuits ($40), flouncy black skirts ($40) and a slim black suit ($90). Now, that I gotta check out in person. Get a first look at the Zac Posen for Target lookbook over at Fashionista.com.
The Jean Paul Gaultier for Target lookbook has yet to be released, but here’s a peek at some pics we found.
