Hollywood beards? Enough with the scruff
A little facial hair is fine. On some men, a full beard looks just lovely — er, manly. But, this new trend of straggly male beards has us reaching for the razors.
Brad Pitt, Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Robert Pattinson, Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr. They’re all saying no to shaving, but we’re saying: Enough with the scruff!
On the red carpet at the Golden Globes, Hamm told E!’s Ryan Seacrest that he let his beard grow out of laziness.
“I haven’t worked in about a month and a half so I just quit shaving,” he said.
Then, a week later at the SAG Awards, where fellow “Mad Men” castmate Slattery also skipped a few shaves, he told his bearded brethren: “Thank you for getting the note about growing a beard.”
For the love of Don Draper, please, Mr. Celebrity Studs, buy a Bic razor, They’re cheap at the nearest Walmart. We know you can afford it.
