Denver designer stars on new season of ‘Project Runway’
Reality TV has a crush on Denver talent.
Hair stylists Charlie Price and Matthew Morris both starred on Bravo’s “Shear Genius.” Many local single men and women have competed on dating shows. And dancers, singers and other performers have earned tons o’ votes on shows such as “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
But “Project Runway?” This may be a first. Denver’s Mondo Guerra, 32, who won the local Project Tamarac grand prize in 2007 and a Denver Art Museum competition last year, takes his skills to the Big Apple for the show’s eighth season (episodes are super-sized to 90 minutes), which premieres July 29 on Lifetime.
Cheer him on each and every Thursday night during the season as The Fabric Lab and Guerra host Project Runway Nights at Beauty Bar Denver. Pop in for manicures, martinis, and, of course, the show. Here’s the deets:
What: Project Runway Night
When: Thursdays, beginning July 29, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Beauty Bar Denver, 608 E. 13th Ave.
