Looking for a fun idea for a night out with pals? How about a free night at the movies?
We’re giving away two sets of four VIP reserved seating tickets to the Denver screening of “The Extra Man,” starring Katie Holmes, Kevin Kline and Paul Dano (“Little Miss Sunshine”).
The plot: The comedy follows Louis Ives (Dano), a lonely dreamer who fancies himself the hero of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. When an embarrassing incident forces him to leave his job at an exclusive Princeton prep school, Louis heads to New York City for a fresh start.
He finds a day job at an environmental magazine, where he meets green-obsessed co-worker Mary (Holmes). He rents a room in the ramshackle apartment of Henry Harrison (Kline), a penniless eccentric, yet brilliant, playwright who also serves the duties of an “extra man” — a social escort for the wealthy widows of Manhattan high society. The two men, separated in age by more than 40 years, develop a volatile mentor/apprentice relationship.
To enter, simply leave a comment below by Friday, Aug. 13, telling us your favorite Katie Holmes role (ours will forever be Joey Potter). The screening is set for Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Regency Tamarac Square.
If you don’t win, you can still see the screening for free. Just print out this ticket — these seats are first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early.

I loved Katie Holmes in Batman Begins AND First Daughter. I think she’s an INCREDIBLE actress and flexible in ALL of her roles. Above anything, Dawsons Creek was my ALL TIME FAV : )
