WHAT WE DO:

Denveralamode.com is a free Web site and weekly e-letter serving up the latest scoop on fashion, style, family and trends in the Mile High City. Editor Lesley Kennedy has covered the Denver style scene since 2000, and dishes on everything from the hottest trends to the newest products to the must-have bargains you just can’t miss.

WHO WE ARE
Lesley Kennedy is an award-winning journalist who covered the Denver style scene for nine years at the Rocky Mountain News. In addition to serving as the newspaper’s fashion editor, she was the deputy features editor before the Rocky’s Feb. 28, 2009 closure. During her time at the Rocky, Kennedy covered a dozen New York Fashion Weeks, directed more than 250 photo shoots and attended countless local and national style events. In addition to fashion commentary, she reported on the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, led coverage during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and designed and directed several award-winning pages.

After the Rocky’s closure, she decided to continue her love of reporting fashionable finds by starting Denveralamode.com, a Web site and weekly e-letter serving up stylish scoops on the Mile High City.

Prior to working at the Rocky, she was a features designer at the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, Fla. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa with degrees in journalism and English, and lives in Denver with her husband, Ian, and daughters Grace and Anna.

Joe Mahoney, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist, was the assistant director of multimedia for the Rocky Mountain News. In that role, he supervised the introduction of video/audio-gathering and production to the paper’s photo staff and the newsroom. During the past 20 years, Mahoney has covered a wide range of assignments, including the recent U.S. presidential campaigns and national conventions, the 2007 World Series, 2004 Summer Olympics, the Columbia shuttle disaster, Colorado’s devastating wildfires in 2002 and the Columbine high school shootings. Prior to working for the Rocky, he was with the Associated Press. Mahoney lives in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife and two children.
